A new national highway connecting Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu has been introduced.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi often emphasizes that when the same government is in power at both the center and the state, development progresses rapidly. He frequently cites the development in BJP-ruled states as an example. Currently, both the central and state governments in Andhra Pradesh are led by the National Democratic Alliance (NDA). Additionally, the presence of Telugu Desam Party (TDP) members in the Lok Sabha plays a crucial role in benefiting the state. Both Modi and N. Chandrababu Naidu are working together to expedite development initiatives. The central government has already made several decisions to convert the state's roads into national highways and has recently announced another major decision.

A new national highway, stretching 84 kilometers, will connect Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. The central government has decided to develop National Highway 42, which will pass through Palamaneru in Chittoor district, the hometown of Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, and continue through Kuppam to the Tamil Nadu border. The existing two-lane road from Palamaneru to Kuppam will be upgraded to a four-lane road. Similarly, the 20-kilometer stretch from Kuppam to the Tamil Nadu border will also be upgraded to four lanes. In total, a stretch of 84 kilometers from Palamaneru will be expanded to four lanes. Five bypass roads will be constructed along this route. Additionally, work is also underway on the Bangalore-Chennai National Highway. For more updates on Andhra Pradesh, visit Vaartha.
